Sweet and Lovable, a Delight to Everyone
Julieann, the eighth of the Green children, was born May 2, 2008. A delightful baby from the beginning, Julieann quickly stole the hearts of Mom, Dad, brothers and sisters. In late October 2008, our precious girl was diagnosed with infantile spasms, a rare form of epilepsy. As her illness unfolded, we began documenting her progress on this page so that friends and family would know specifically how to pray for her. We are so thankful to the Lord that her outcome so far is very good. For now, Julieann is seizure-free. We know that the seizures could return tomorrow, or in 10 years - so please continue to pray for her.

This morning's stop was the candy shop. Rosie loves fudge and truffles!

Joseph thought he would explain to Autumn Faith our tradition of visiting the chocolate shop in the mountains.

And this afternoon Daddy and the Green children played in the rapids while Mommy and Autumn Faith played with rocks.

Benjamin made a harpoon in hopes that a giant trout would swim by him.

And these two girls thought they were so big climbing rocks with their siblings.

The weather turned out to be beautiful this afternoon and the boys rolled up their jeans to enjoy the river.

This cabin has been our home away from home this week.

The River Gang went exploring today and found crayfish, bear tracks, and other treasures.

And when it's too cold and windy to roast Smores outside, then an oven inside the cabin works just fine.

Delicious!

We're in the mountains enjoying a cabin on the beautiful Chattahoochee River.

Everyone changed into their muck boots to explore the river,

and Autumn Faith was such a happy baby watching her siblings play.

The Green family split into teams to see who could find their way through the corn maze the quickest.

My sweet Julieann was thrilled to be free from the maze!

I am very thankful that my children love to write in their journals about everyday life at home and adventures we take as a family. I could not resist the smile that was on Thomas' face as he drew in his journal.

And Joseph takes journal writing rather seriously.

Grace can never pass an opportunity to write in one of her many journals.

The little girls kept themselves occupied while their siblings went exploring.

Sometimes the younger Greens are eager to help Daddy work.

Sometimes the older Greens take advantage of the younger Greens' eagerness...

Autumn Faith has a way of entertaining our family :)

Four years ago today we were in the emergency room with Julieann. We soon learned all we could about childhood epilepsy and infantile spasms. The Lord placed some wonderful doctors and nurses in our paths, and as a result of His grace, Julieann is a perfectly healthy little girl to this day. We are very thankful, and we love our sweet Julieann very much. Thank you for your continued prayers.

While eating dinner, Joseph noticed that one of our chickens had decided to spy on our dinner. Little did she know what was in our bowls: chicken chili :)

While I was explaining school lessons to some of the older Green children this morning, I looked out the window and saw Nathaniel and Thomas napping with Duke in the warm, morning sunshine. Priceless...

Autumn Faith loves to be outdoors in the Fall weather.

And once again, the Green children spent the afternnon enjoying wagon rides. Julieann was holding on for dear life.

Running is good for the soul,

and so are doggie kisses.

Saturday, October 20, 2012 - Happy 8th Birthday Thomas!

This is how Thomas looked most of the day with his outdoor gear hanging around his neck, out of pockets, and a harmonica permanently attached to his lips. He was indeed a happy birthday boy! We are very thankful for Thomas and his caring ways, helpful attitude, and servant's heart. We love you very much Thomas!

"Did you hear? I'm going to be a big sister the beginning of June 2013,

and I'm very excited!!!"

We appreciate all prayers for a safe and healthy pregnancy for Momma and baby.

Today the girls enjoyed running with wildflowers,

observing the horses CLOSELY,

and visiting with the calves.

It's that time of year again! We're wrapping soaps for Pioneer Days in Lincolnton, Ga, Saturday, November 17th. Here are a few sneak peeks of our Christmas soaps. More to come...

Sometimes Anna Rose likes to venture off and spend some time in deep thought by the rose bushes.

And speaking of deep thought, Nathaniel had been pondering a question for Benjamin : "Benjamin, in your day, were school lessons hard?"

I guess to a 6 year old, and 11 year old is ancient...

Saturday, October 13, 2012 - Happy First Birthday Autumn Faith!!!!

Autumn Faith received the stomach virus for her birthday gift this morning. She pretty much spent the entire day in my arms (similar to the day of her birth).

The girls continued with party plans and cupcakes.

And this picture is precious to me because Autumn Faith looked me in the eye as if to say, "Mommy, what do I do?" Even though she couldn't enjoy her cupcake, everyone else ate plenty of them. Our family enjoyed the day holding and nurturing our sweet baby girl. We thank God every day for the joy she has brought into our lives.

I was sick,

but now am well.

Wednesday, October 10, 2012

Julieann and Anna Rose spent most of the day on the couch with their bowls, gatorade, and a stack of books. Some of the other Green children are feelilng better, so hopefully the virus is just a 24 hour one.

Tuesday, October 9, 2012

Evidently, the Green family picked up a stomach virus this weekend. We've had several Greens on the couch today, but things got especially interesting this evening when Julieann started crying asking for a bowl. At the same time, the lights went out in our house. Poor Kenny. He had to deal with a sick child in the dark until we could scramble for a flashlight. Hopefully, this virus will pass quickly...

On a cool October morning, Miss Autumn Faith enjoyed watching the chickens outdside the play room window.

And with the cooler weather, the boys ventured into the woods to use Benjamin's new birthday ax.

Everyone looked so snuggly and warm on the golfcart ride this afternoon, so of course I had to run inside and grab my camera for a picture.

Saturday, October 6, 2012

The Green family and Caitlin enjoyed the afternoon at the Chapel Picnic and Fair in Lincolnton, Ga . Joseph entered his set of wooden whistles,

while Benjamin entered his wooden "eating" utensils set.

Carolyn and Caitlin entered their apple and pecan pies for judging.

Caitlin was excited to win the blue ribbon for her delicious pecan pie!

Some of the Green children had the privilege of playing music with Mr. Dave Donehoo's band.

Meanwhile, Julieann and Anna Rose played on the jungle gym.

And this is all that was left of Grace's goat milk caramels. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed them!

Friday, October 5, 2012 - HAPPY 11TH BIRTHDAY BENJAMIN

Today we celebrated Benjamin's 11th birthday with some tunes on his new banjo. We are very thankful for Benjamin's obedience and willingness to help others through the years. He is maturing into quite the young man, and we pray the Lord will continue to bless him in all areas of his life.

Thursday, October 4, 2012

The boys have been viewing deer on their game camera, and when Rosie found some deer antlers in the boys' room, she decided to show everyone what an 8 point buck looked like.

Wednesday, October 3, 2012

Tonight we visited with Kenny's mom, Aunt Gay and Uncle Doc, Aunt Clara, and cousin Bethany. The Green children enjoyed learning how to draw with Uncle Doc and

listening to Aunt Gay play the accordion.

Tuesday, October 2, 2012

Joseph has a way of making animals "smile" for the camera.

And all of the Green children enjoy climbing and playing on the low limbs of the oak trees.

A little stroll through the cow pasture always helps one ponder the important things in life...

Monday, October 1, 2012

Anna Rose and Julieann have become quite the helpers with dishes. In the video, Anna Rose was excited to wash Carolyn's pink lid...

And when Rosie could not be found after lunch today, we discovered a trail of krackel chocolate wrappers. At the end of the trail we found Rosie hiding in the corner behind my chair, hoping no one would notice her.
