Sweet and Lovable, a Delight to Everyone
Julieann, the eighth of the Green children, was born May 2, 2008. A delightful baby from the beginning, Julieann quickly stole the hearts of Mom, Dad, brothers and sisters. In late October 2008, our precious girl was diagnosed with infantile spasms, a rare form of epilepsy. As her illness unfolded, we began documenting her progress on this page so that friends and family would know specifically how to pray for her. We are so thankful to the Lord that her outcome so far is very good. For now, Julieann is seizure-free. We know that the seizures could return tomorrow, or in 10 years - so please continue to pray for her.

While Mommy, Daddy, and the older Green children organized the soap booth for Pioneer Day, the little girls had their traditional "snuggle" time with Caitlin.

These two are inseparable.

While the older Green children played their instruments and Mommy, Daddy, and Caitlin worked in the soap booth,

Grandma helped watch the little girls.

We always LOVE visiting with close friends at Pioneer Day, and especially snuggling their babies!

I'm so glad I looked up from packing soap boxes to grab my camera and capture this precious duo.

Sometimes I can't seem to locate my phone, but when it mysteriously reappears, my photo pages are full of sweet faces like this one...

We've been studying the young Thomas Edison in science class, and as a result, Kenny and I have seen some pretty crazy hairdos...

The Green children have been picking up lots and lots of pecans!

Saturday morning we took our pecans to Atwell Pecan Company in Wrens for an enjoyable family outing.

And we loved capturing Daniel and Caitlin working as a team shoeing the horses in our pasture. We're excited to see our little grandbaby growing!

The Green family put together this short clip for our soap booth Saturday, November 23rd at Pioneer Days. I think we have some budding Christian film makers in the Green household...

Pioneer Days in Lincolnton, Ga is next Saturday, November 23rd. We have been busy wrapping our soaps and making lotions. We are excited to announce one of our newest soaps: Georgia Sunrise (an invigorating scent of peach and raspberries)!

And for a wonderful soothing soap for winter skin, our oatmeal, milk, and honey goat milk soap is the perfect bar! You can see the "goodness" in each of the three layers. Lord willing, we will be working in our soap booth from 10:00 - 4:00 next Saturday at the Lincolnton Historical Park, and Carolyn, Joseph, Benjamin, and Grace will be playing Appalachian Mountain Music throughout the day. Stop by and say hello!

I LOVE my new crock pot we found at Bass Pro Shops during our Myrtle Beach trip. Yes, that's right...Bass Pro Shops. It holds 8 1/2 quarts and is the perfect size for our hungry family. With the cold weather approaching, we have been enjoying numerous soups and stews. Here is one of our family favorites:

WHITE CHICKEN CHILI

8 lbs. homemade or your favorite salsa

2 lbs. monterey jack cheese

2 cans white navy beans

3 cans corn

3 lbs. cooked and seasoned chicken

1 1/2 tsp. cumin

Place all ingredients into crockpot and cook on low for 3 - 4 hours. Top with sour cream, additional cheese, and serve with tortilla chips. Perfect comfort food...

Today was a great day to bake Molasses cookies!

Autumn Faith and Julieann enjoyed watching Carolyn scoop out molasses dough balls.

Rosie and Pookie tried to decide which cookie they would eat after dinner.

The end result was a beautiful sight for the dessert table...
