Sweet and Lovable, a Delight to Everyone
Julieann, the eighth of the Green children, was born May 2, 2008. A delightful baby from the beginning, Julieann quickly stole the hearts of Mom, Dad, brothers and sisters. In late October 2008, our precious girl was diagnosed with infantile spasms, a rare form of epilepsy. As her illness unfolded, we began documenting her progress on this page so that friends and family would know specifically how to pray for her. We are so thankful to the Lord that her outcome so far is very good. For now, Julieann is seizure-free. We know that the seizures could return tomorrow, or in 10 years - so please continue to pray for her.

Never too old to play with blocks.

Everyone is feeling better now. Today the little girls enjoyed swinging outside together,

while the little boys helped Daddy split firewood (and took a relaxing, picnic break).

It was a hard day's work for Thomas and Nathaniel because Carolyn, Joseph, Benjamin, and Grace traveled

to Roswell, Ga to play music with Mr. Dave's family.

And from the pictures they sent to me on my phone, they were having LOTS of fun!

Unfortunately our family has caught a yucky cold virus. Poor Julieann had trouble breathing and was transported to MCG hospital, where we learned she has croup.

She was able to rest more comfortably after her steroid treatment to open her airways.

We have not sent Christmas cards this year, but want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Green family!

Sometimes in the evenings, I hear little whimpering noises. It usually means my children have smuggled in a puppy or two...

or three or four.

Who could resist snuggling such a sweet bundle by the fire?

After breakfast this morning, Nathaniel asked me if he could repair our little rocking chair as his "schoolwork" for the day.

Around lunchtime, I noticed that he had completely cut another arm piece out of some scrap wood with the jigsaw. He had drilled the new arm in place, sanded it, and found some brown paint to cover the exposed wood. (This was all done without any help from the older boys. Nathaniel said he wanted to do this job all by himself.)

Nathaniel allowed Pookie to test his repair job this evening by the fire. Perfect...

Thursday, December 11, 2014 - HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY ROSIE!

Today we celebrated our sweet Anna Rose's 5th Birthday. Our family is very thankful to see such a warm smile radiating from Rosie's face daily, and to experience her affectionate hugs and kisses.

We pray the Lord will bless her abundantly this year.

And our black lab, Dottie, gave birth to 6 little puppies (3 males and 3 females) on Rosie's birthday!

Needless to say, Rosie was delighted!

After dinner and birthday cake, this is what the school room looked like...

I know...Why do we need a sectional sofa? The Greens always seem to prefer the floor :)

Christmas is a time for simple things...

Today was a beautiful day for a picnic in the woods. Joseph and Benjamin set up their tent for us to enjoy a little relaxation time.

Joesph practiced his hatchet throwing abilities.

Thomas enjoyed watching Benjamin climb trees.

After an enjoyable lunch, It was finally time to head back home for naps and afternoon schooling.

Everyone took turns carrying our supplies,

especially the "Charlie Brown" Christmas tree...

6 years ago, Dr. Park treated our sweet Julieann for infantile spasms. We are very thankful that she is presently thriving in all areas of her life. Dr. Park has said repeatedly that Julieann is truly "blessed". Her checkup today was a delightful visit for everyone.

And while Julieann and I ran errands after her doctor's appointment, Rosie was at home making pumpkin "mud pies."
