Sweet and Lovable, a Delight to Everyone
Julieann, the eighth of the Green children, was born May 2, 2008. A delightful baby from the beginning, Julieann quickly stole the hearts of Mom, Dad, brothers and sisters. In late October 2008, our precious girl was diagnosed with infantile spasms, a rare form of epilepsy. As her illness unfolded, we began documenting her progress on this page so that friends and family would know specifically how to pray for her. We are so thankful to the Lord that her outcome so far is very good. For now, Julieann is seizure-free. We know that the seizures could return tomorrow, or in 10 years - so please continue to pray for her.

Reading time,

popsicle breaks,

and tree-top retreats ... all mean summer is near.

Yesterday we reflected on those who have sacrificed greatly for the freedoms we currently possess. We spent Memorial Day enjoying a simple hamburger cookout,

a leisurely football game with cousins,

and serious conversations.

Charles enjoyed playing with the chickens and mimicking the rooster's crow.

I'm not quite sure what this "look" was all about, but I think he wanted to climb through the fence to follow the chickens across the horse pasture.

And the weather was glorious for an evening stroll around the farm.

Monday, May 25, 2015 - Happy 9th Birthday Nathaniel!

Yesterday we celebrated Nathaniel's 9th birthday. After church and our fellowship meal, Nathaniel enjoyed Caleb's visit to relax and play board games with the rest of the Green family.

This evening was wonderful for kayaking,

canoeing,

bicycling,

and frolicking with the goats.

Back home indulging in ice cream cones,

feeding the farm animals,

and collecting weeds from the garden..

Everyone's glad to be home,

working together for some fresh, garden veggies this summer.

After a delicious breakfast at The Jekyll Club,

the Green family took a morning stroll,

out to the front lawn for a game of croquet. .

Charles enjoyed taking his turn first with the mallet and ball.

The game was very relaxing

and enjoyable for all.

Thomas

and Nathaniel both played like pros,

and were happy to see Benjamin finish in first place.

Rosie took this picture of Autumn Faith and me on the sidelines cheering for all the players.

At the end of the game, Julieann and Nathaniel took time to teach Anna Rose all the rules of croquet:)

Thomas had fun peeking at the shrimp while Daniel fished for shark and flounder.

And the other Green kids played with Caitlin in the warm tidal pool.

Charles enjoyed a few sips of his Daddy's sparkling lime water.

At the Tidelands Nature Center some of the younger Greens experienced crabbing for Blue Crabs and Snow Crabs.

Autumn Faith's favorite beach activity this year has been to ride the waves on an innertube.

The Green children brought an exceptional kite to fly on Jekyll's windy beach.

Everyone took turns holding the string,

but the favorite part was watching the kite fly like an actual butterfly.

Bicycling,

Ocean bingo,

and word games late into the night have been wonderful memory making activities.

Tonight the Green family enjoyed the Low Country Boil.

We're looking forward to adding little James beside Daniel, Caitlin, and Charles next year :)

After dinner and pictures, we enjoyed watching the little ones play.

But the best part for me was watching the big boys watching the little ones play.

Sometimes you just have to stop and sit a spell.

Charles coordinated with Aunt Grace's outfit tonight.

And a good way for Charles to end the evening was looking at a big truck in his Daddy's arms...

Everybody enjoyed "just being" on the beach today.

Joseph seemed to have a little fun tubing.

And while some of the Greens rode bikes, others rode on the "Red Bug" to...

the new yogurt shop.

Our annual trip to Jekyll Island!

And the book that Autumn Faith "borrowed" for the ride home last year...

found its place back on the book shelf at the beach rental home:)

Thomas is relieved to breathe the salt air,

and Julieann found the first sand dollar.

The little girls enjoyed watching Grace come within a few inches of the island deer.

And this little fellow LOVES the water! To him the ocean is one big BATH, BATH!

So far everyone is having lots of safe, fun...

thanks to Daniel's job as lifeguard.

Chocolate milk,

tube rides,

and Green kids in the sand, have been the forms of entertainment.

and a little "hopscotch fun"!

Everyone seems to be enjoying Joseph and Benjamin's new bow and arrows, especially Carolyn.

Pretty good shot...
