Sweet and Lovable, a Delight to Everyone
Julieann, the eighth of the Green children, was born May 2, 2008. A delightful baby from the beginning, Julieann quickly stole the hearts of Mom, Dad, brothers and sisters. In late October 2008, our precious girl was diagnosed with infantile spasms, a rare form of epilepsy. As her illness unfolded, we began documenting her progress on this page so that friends and family would know specifically how to pray for her. We are so thankful to the Lord that her outcome so far is very good. For now, Julieann is seizure-free. We know that the seizures could return tomorrow, or in 10 years - so please continue to pray for her.

SRF

We spent the weekend renting a lift to paint the roof of the church,

SRF

and scraping and painting the front steps.

SRF

The weather was wonderful for some of the Greens and friends to kayak down the Ogeechee River.

SRF

The journey was peaceful until everyone hit a sandbar,

SRF

and took a little break for swimming and dragging the kayaks to deeper water.

SRF

Carolyn spent Monday with John at his Memorial Day church picnic at the lake with more swimming and boating.

SRF

Then later in the day it was time for games,

SRF

helping Kenny build a deck for the pool area,

SRF

and grilling honey-lime chicken kabobs.

Tuesday, May 24, 2016 - HAPPY 10TH BIRTHDAY NATHANIEL!!!

SRF

Today we celebrated Nathaniel's 10th birthday with a pool party! For he's a jolly good fellow...

SRF

The Jekyll Club Breakfast is always a favorite highlight of our beach trip.

SRF

And afterwards we always enjoy a game of croquet on the front lawn.

SRF

This year we had two little boys wanting to learn to play croquet.

SRF

Julieann and Anna Rose enjoyed taking James on a walk while the older kids...

SRF

all seemed to congregate at the same spot on the croquet field.

SRF

Thomas really turned his game around and hit some great shots.

SRF

But Benjamin remains the champion for two years in a row!

SRF

And my job? Watching the littles and taking pictures :)

SRF

After a delightful morning, we spent the remaining afternoon on the beach taking turns in the kayak.

SRF

What happens when everyone wants to be in the water at the same time and needs Mama to watch the sunglasses? Kenny and I made a Costa tree for sunglass storage.

SRF

At the end of a long day, the little girls enjoyed blowing bubbles before bathtime on the front lawn to the beach house. Wonderful memories!

SRF

The Green children loved catching the big waves while boogie boarding today.

SRF

Nathaniel was sweet to take Rosie on a boogie board ride through the tidal pool.

SRF

And Charles was fearless when it came to jumping and splashing as the tide came in to the shore.

SRF

John and Carolyn helped serve as lifeguards to make sure everyone was safe.

SRF

We're glad to be at Jekyll Island for Kenny's annual Georgia Rural Water Conference and some fun family time!

SRF

The guys cooked a BIG Mother's Day breakfast for everyone to enjoy Sunday morning.

SRF

Scrambled eggs, Daniel's famous sausages, buttered toast, and most importantly...

SRF

chocolate milk!

SRF

Several of the Green children have been working on a 500 piece puzzle in between swimming and biking.

SRF!

Boogie boarding is always a favorite!

SRF

And of course just relaxing in the sun is enjoyable too.

SRF

It is always fun to set up base camp for a day on the beach!

SRF

Having the whole family together is a treat,

SRF

and this year James is a part!

SRF

Charles loved swimming in the tidal pool and helped Benjamin and the boys find...

SRF

blue crabs. Daniel told the boys if they found 10 crabs, he would cook them for dinner.

SRF

Daniel kept his end of the bargain, but I don't think Thomas found them too appetizing.

SRF

Everyone sampled some of the crab meat for the evening and then it was time for...

SRF

more bike riding and Dairy Queen blizzards!

SRF

Yesterday evening, some of the Greens enjoyed watching Jennifer and Jeremy Naas' recital performance.

SRF

Then everyone headed to Chick - Fil - A for frosted coffees! It was a delightful evening of fun and fellowship!

SRF

Julieann: "Charles, do you know how a storm starts?"

Charles just listens intently.

Julieann: "The thunder and the lightning get in a fight."

SRF

Meanwhile, Joseph teaches James a few things about music and drums.

Monday, May 2, 2016 - HAPPY 8TH BIRTHDAY JULIEANN!!!

SRF

Today we celebrated Julieann's 8th birthday. We are so thankful for Julieann's energetic personality and fun-loving spirit, and we pray for God's blessings in her life this year.
