Sweet and Lovable, a Delight to Everyone
Julieann, the eighth of the Green children, was born May 2, 2008. A delightful baby from the beginning, Julieann quickly stole the hearts of Mom, Dad, brothers and sisters. In late October 2008, our precious girl was diagnosed with infantile spasms, a rare form of epilepsy. As her illness unfolded, we began documenting her progress on this page so that friends and family would know specifically how to pray for her. We are so thankful to the Lord that her outcome so far is very good. For now, Julieann is seizure-free. We know that the seizures could return tomorrow, or in 10 years - so please continue to pray for her.

"A snake, a snake in the chicken coop!"

"And he's THIS fat."

"Dad, the snake's coming out from behind the board."

"Time to go in with the proper defense mechanism."

When the boys reported that the snake was on the move, the little girls took off running for their lives.

Meanwhile, Miss Grace and Smokey were enjoying the cool spring evening, until...

Smokey spotted the snake!

And he was a BIG ONE!

Everyone (including the cat) decided Mr. Snake could live for another day...

Ribbon candy from Savannah's Candy Kitchen.

Maybe just a little too tangy...

"A.W. Tozer has aptly stated that "the things you read will fashion you by slowly conditioning your mind." The decisions we make about what we read are vital...As Christians who are called to continuously chew on the wonders of God, our reading diet is nothing to take lightly...What it means is that what we read matters and directly affects what we become."

Carolyn, Joseph, Benjamin, and Grace enjoyed playing with Mr. Dave and other musicians at "Bear on the Square" in Dahlonega, Ga.

The festival was a lot of fun for our family. We especially loved Mr. Jay Bland and his buck board footwork during the playing of some Appalachian tunes.

We were tickled to find this video on the internet of Mr. Dave and the kids taken by a spectator:

I ran across this picture tonight of Daniel, Carolyn, Joseph, and Benjamin in 2004. Our family had a lot of fun reminiscing...

Daniel stopped by today...With the newlyweds living right across the pond, a minibike is the perfect mode of transportation for visiting,

and letting siblings take rides...

Today was another beautiful spring day,

perfect for plowing, hoeing, and planting the garden.

Julieann was not shy about getting her hands dirty.

And these were the only clean feet in the family (Carolyn had Autumn Faith duty).

I don't believe we needed the holes that deep for our vegetable seeds :)

Anna Rose loves to help Carolyn wrap our goat milk soaps.

And tonight's dinner was Southwestern Chipotle salad bar! Nathaniel played very hard today and was obviously hungry.

Thursday, April 11, 2013

After lunch, Grace took Julieann and Nathaniel on a lttle "ride".

Everyone loves fresh squeezed lemonade,

even when it makes you pucker :)

And during a little afternoon rainstorm, Julieann enjoyed the rain spraying in her face.

Such a sweet expression!

And when Rosie was "cooking" in her play kitchen, I found this precious sight moments later. The green dog was mine as a baby :)

What do you do after a long week of planning for a wedding?

and enjoy the spring weather!

Monday, April 8, 2013

Daddy, Mommy, and Autumn Faith before the wedding.

Caitlin was radiant walking down the aisle!

Pachelbel's Canon in D Major was beautiful for the wedding song.

Daniel and Caitlin took the wedding vows and ring exchange seriously.

Autumn Faith just could not keep her eyes open for the full ceremony.

With the Lord's strength and guidance, the newlyweds can travel securely down life's road.

And the river was a romantic spot for the married couple.

Carolyn did a wonderful job decorating the cake for Daniel and Caitlin.

It wasn't long before the cake was enjoyed by everyone!

The Green family!

Balloons, toothpaste, bottles, and tin made an interesting exit for the bride and groom.

And this little girl woke up just in time for the departure.

Lots of wedding preparations ahead, so the next post will be AFTER the wedding (hopefully with some pictures).

Wednesday, April 3, 2013

After Easter service and fellowship dinner, the Green children and Caleb enjoyed sitting on the front steps to the church. In only a few days, we will be sitting on the front steps to the church after Daniel and Caitlin's wedding ceremony.

"Twas Easter-Sunday. The full-blossomed trees

Filled all the air with fragrance

and with joy."

---Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
