Sweet and Lovable, a Delight to Everyone
Julieann, the eighth of the Green children, was born May 2, 2008. A delightful baby from the beginning, Julieann quickly stole the hearts of Mom, Dad, brothers and sisters. In late October 2008, our precious girl was diagnosed with infantile spasms, a rare form of epilepsy. As her illness unfolded, we began documenting her progress on this page so that friends and family would know specifically how to pray for her. We are so thankful to the Lord that her outcome so far is very good. For now, Julieann is seizure-free. We know that the seizures could return tomorrow, or in 10 years - so please continue to pray for her.

After playing for the Taliaferro County Schools, Mr. Dave and the band spent the afternoon together at Shakerock Farm.

Some of the guys went fishing while…

others rode horses.

Carolyn was thankful for the help wrapping soap to restock our local Pharmacy.

Before leaving, Mr. Dave instructed Nathaniel on how to play the spoons for the band. We had a wonderful time fellowshipping together this afternoon!

“Shall we gather at the river?”  Remembering the baptismal service from this past Sunday.

Yesterday evening Carolyn enjoyed paddling in Daniel and Caitlin’s kayak.

And today Nathaniel used Autumn Faith’s baby swing to transport bricks from the front yard to the back.

We had an enjoyable evening on the front porch playing music and visiting with Quinton McGahee.

Friday, May 24, 2013 - HAPPY BIRTHDAY NATHANIEL!

Today we celebrated Nathaniel’s 7th Birthday at the Jekyll Club Hotel.  We are very thankful for our energetic, adventurous, little boy who is growing into a fine young man.  We pray the Lord will bless him in this upcoming year.

Nathaniel enjoyed the breakfast buffet, and especially his cup of coffee!

And this evening, Autumn Faith took her last stroll to the beach.

Since this was our last evening swimming, Daddy decided to take Mama “boogie boarding’”.

After consulting Daddy and Thomas, Mama figured out how to “ride the waves”,

and had lots of fun!

These two enjoyed watching the show all snuggled in their beach towels…

After a fun morning digging in the tidal pools and watching the sharks come to the shore to feed on minnows,  the Green family spent the afternoon…

playing WAR with Daddy,

Double Solataire,

and more WAR.

After dinner, the older Green children decided to ride the waves at high tide.

Thomas and Nathaniel were quite the team.

Sometimes a few Green children would ride the same wave all the way to the shore.

Anna Rose enjoyed watching  the action until…

all the busyness of the day caught up with her and she chose to rest on the blanket with Julieann as her buddy, and Autumn Faith content digging in the sand.

Wednesday, May 22, 2013

After a full morning of swimming, digging in the sand, and spotting 5 foot sharks withing 10 feet of our family in the water, everyone was tired and took a nap after lunch.

The Green family was scattered here and there napping wherever there was a vacant place.

Autumn Faith napped in her pack n play upstairs while the older Green children fell asleep after practicing their music in the boys’ room.

Daddy found a comfy spot on the couch (and Mama found a comfy spot on the loveseat).

Somehow these two were not tired and cut and pasted puzzle pictures nicely while everyone rested.

After dinner we loaded up the bicycles for our nightly trip to Dairy Queen for blizzards.  Rosie and Autumn Faith have been buddies this week in the bicycle cart.

Here is a picture of the bicycle lineup (minus Mama).

Autumn Faith enjoyed splashing in the tidal pool this morning while the older Green children

played with water guns.

Carolyn and I just relaxed and watched everyone play.

On the way back to the beach house, Mama had several volunteer surgeons help remove a piece of cactus from my foot.

We were thankful everyone felt a little better to venture out to the beach this weekend.

Julieann and Nathaniel enjoyed digging in the beach sand looking for crabs.

When the ocean got a little too cold for swimming, Thomas warmed himself by playing in the tide pools.

After naptime, Rosie enjoyed watching her siblings ride bikes on the beach.

Everyone enjoyed watching the tide roll in to the shore.

Even though Autumn Faith did not feel well, she enjoyed getting her feet wet for a little while with Carolyn.

This evening after dinner, the Green family enjoyed the game of BOCCE BALL.

Grace took it easy while waiting her turn to play the BOCCE game.

And Autumn Faith felt much better today riding her little Scooter on the bike trails.

We arrived at Jekyll Island today!  Unfortunately, a stomach bug is working its’ way through our family and we are seeing more of our room than the beach…

Tuesday, May 14, 2013

After playing musical instruments at Euchee Creek Elementary School this morning, Mr. Dave, the Groover girls, and Emma Reese visited for a lunch picnic on the front porch.

The weather, food, and fellowship were perfect!

Monday, May 13, 2013

We had a pleasant Mother’s Day afternoon relaxing on the front porch.

And then the festivities began with an old fashioned spoon and egg race.

Of course everyone asked Caitlin…

and Daniel to join in on the fun!

Food always tastes better outside!  This evening we enjoyed beef hot dogs with all the fixins and a new macaroni salad recipe.  Delicious!

A lovely day for picking flowers,

and feeling the breeze in your face.

Monday, May 6, 2013

Nathaniel made the honeysuckle wreath for Autumn Faith’s hair, and she loved it!

We have completed our homeschooling year and have lots planned for the summer. We hope to spend even more time together as a family (and less on the computer). Everyone in the Green family is doing well, including Daniel and Caitlin. They love married life and we love seeing them so often! We hope to be back this fall...

Thursday, May 2, 2013 - HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY JULIEANN!!!

Today we celebrated Julieann's 5th birthday! We are so thankful for our vibrant daughter who brings joy and laughter to our family. She is very special to us, and we count our blessings that the Lord has chosen her for our daughter.

Julieann has always been our "social butterfly". Carolyn made sure she built on that theme for Julieann's birthday cake.

Julieann received some Calico Critters for one of her birthday gifts, and Grace used them to make a play during the

rain this afternoon. Joseph and Benjamin were part of the backstage crew.

Thomas "sold" popcorn.

Grace was the director and producer.

And Benjamin provided the background music during the scene changes.

Cake decorating class 101.

Today Carolyn showed Grace how to pipe the edges of each cake layer to prevent the filling from oozing over the edges. Tomorrow Julieann's birthday cake will be completed!
