Sweet and Lovable, a Delight to Everyone
Julieann, the eighth of the Green children, was born May 2, 2008. A delightful baby from the beginning, Julieann quickly stole the hearts of Mom, Dad, brothers and sisters. In late October 2008, our precious girl was diagnosed with infantile spasms, a rare form of epilepsy. As her illness unfolded, we began documenting her progress on this page so that friends and family would know specifically how to pray for her. We are so thankful to the Lord that her outcome so far is very good. For now, Julieann is seizure-free. We know that the seizures could return tomorrow, or in 10 years - so please continue to pray for her.

Preparing for a New Year's Eve bonfire!

Joseph made sure there was plenty of gasoline to start the fire.

A delightful evening of family togetherness...

We've been making lots of progress on the master bathroom over the holidays. Our potty and sink is now working! Tonight Autumn Faith enjoyed the mirror at her own level that Daddy hung just for the younger Green girls. A little more painting, and a whole lot of plumbing for our clawfoot tub, and then our bathroom will be complete! Kenny, Joseph, and Benjamin have completed all of the carpentry, plumbing, heating and air, and tile work themselves. We are very proud of them!

Wednesday, December 25, 2013 - MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Mr. Dave surprised the Green children with a Crokinole gameboard yesterday afternoon,

and it was a big hit with Daniel and Caitlin this morning for our Christmas celebration.

The younger Green boys helped Daddy and Daniel cook Christmas breakfast: eggs, toast, and sausage.

Grace enjoyed painting the girls' nails with her new manicure set.

Julieann was tickled to receive her first stitching project.

Carolyn assisted Anna Rose with her ladybug embroidery,

and I loved seeing Rosie's eyes looking to her big sister for approval.

The highlight of the day was playing Foosball with different members of the Green family. We experienced a wonderful day of togetherness, but most importantly, we celebrated the birth of Jesus Christ who came to this earth to be the Redeemer of ruined and miserable sinners...

Decorating with magnolia leaves, holly, and cedar for...

an after- church Christmas luncheon.

The food was delicious, and the dessert table was very enticing.

Wonderful fellowship!

After lunch, everyone wanted to take a nice, relaxing walk to the shake rock. Of course, the rain soon appeared and both young and old took cover.

Even though most of the "adventurous party" were soaked and wet, a little Christmas music was perfect.

Anna Rose colored so nicely and quietly between Brother Eddie and Sister Florelle. We enjoyed a wonderful afternoon fellowshipping with our brothers and sisters in Christ.

We've been enjoying Christmas lights...

and experimenting with fancy Christmas hairdos. Unfortunately my camera died...One of the Green children said tonight, "Mama, they just don't make things like they did in the old fashioned days." So for now, I'm thankful for my iphone!

and decorating.

A sample of the delicious tasting artwork!

Tonight Mommy and Daddy enjoyed dinner at the Blue Willow Inn for GBT's Company Christmas dinner.

The boys and girls formed teams today to decorate gingerbread houses.

The girls' finished project, and

the boys' finished project.

The houses were supposed to have walkways lined with candy, but somehow through the course of decorating, a lot of the candies disappeared...

Wednesday, December 11, 2013 - Happy 4th Birthday, Rosie!!!

Today we celebrated Anna Rose's 4th birthday. We are very thankful for her sweet smiles and loving personality over the past four years.

Anna Rose LOVES mazes! Daddy made her birthday sign into a fun maze with a pretty pink birthday cake at the end. Rosie enjoyed tracing her sign over and over again today.

Carolyn snapped this picture today of Mama busy at work. Daniel called, Caitlin texted, and Kenny Facetimed me all at the same time. I felt so loved...

Milking time with Carolyn, twice a day, rain or shine, winter or summer...

Friday, December 6, 2013

Carolyn and Julieann spent time enjoying the beautiful weather on our roof today.

Meanwhile, some of the Green children found an unusual magnolia leaf in the shape of a heart. Nathaniel spent time building a frame out of scrap wood and framing the leaf for me.

And Grace made a "Sound of Music" vest (from an old blanket and baling twine) for Julie and Rosie to share while playing outside.

I believe Julieann really enjoyed playing her role :)

Thanks to Aunt Yvonne and Uncle Buddy, the Green family had a fruitcake to accompany our dinner this evening...

And it was delicious!

This past summer Carolyn lost her main milk goat, Maggie. The Green family was excited to travel to the mountains over the holidays to meet "Victoria", an Alpine dairy goat. Her nickname is "Precious", and she is a very sweet goat and produces LOTS of milk!

Joseph also purchased an Alpine buck.

Julieann is ready for Christmas with the new sled Benjamin built over the past couple of days. All we need is the snow!

And during a trial run, I believe Grace was making sketches for Benjamin's next project...
