Sweet and Lovable, a Delight to Everyone
Julieann, the eighth of the Green children, was born May 2, 2008. A delightful baby from the beginning, Julieann quickly stole the hearts of Mom, Dad, brothers and sisters. In late October 2008, our precious girl was diagnosed with infantile spasms, a rare form of epilepsy. As her illness unfolded, we began documenting her progress on this page so that friends and family would know specifically how to pray for her. We are so thankful to the Lord that her outcome so far is very good. For now, Julieann is seizure-free. We know that the seizures could return tomorrow, or in 10 years - so please continue to pray for her.

Day 2 of scraping and painting. Everyone spent an enjoyable Memorial Day working and fellowshipping.

The little Greens enjoyed resting in the shade after lunch.

Nathaniel found this strange creature, with a broken pincer, that kept the younger Greens' interest for the afternoon. They discovered it was a Dobsonfly that lives for only 7 days once they emerge as adults.

Saturday, May 24, 2014 - Happy 8th Birthday Nathaniel!

Today we celebrated Nathaniel's 8th birthday. We are very thankful that the Lord has blessed us with such an inquisitive and reflective child. We pray this year will bring great things for Nathaniel. After opening gifts at home, the Green family headed over to our church to meet others for a "painting" party.

Everyone worked hard scraping off the old paint and brushing on the new.

The little Greens also had an opportunity to help in the prepping process,

but they took breaks painting rocks,

and playing with play-doh.

Grace volunteered to take drink orders for the workers.

The little girls enjoyed sitting and talking (and giggling) with Brother Eddie.

Julieann snapped this picture of Autumn Faith sitting sweetly in my lap watching the action.

Bubble fun!

After soaking her first outfit, Autumn Faith changed into a dry dress and resumed catching bubbles.

She got a little too excited reaching for the high ones,

and knocked bubble juice all over the ground.

Rosie's face demonstrated some displeasure, but sweet Pookie tried to pick everything up quickly to please her sister...

Beach Base Camp

Charles had to venture out to the water with his beach hat to see his Daddy's shark.

And everyone enjoyed our last relaxing day on the beach digging,

looking for shells,

eating lunch,

and just relaxing.

At one point Charles and Autumn Faith took a nap on the beach at the same time. Precious...

The beach house we rented had an entire collection of Pooh Bear books the little girls enjoyed reading during our stay. Today when we stopped at McDonald's for a bathroom break, Grace found one of the books stashed away beside Autumn Faith's car seat. She confessed to "borrowing" the book for the trip home, but we all were tickled to see the title of the book she chose...

This morning we enjoyed a pleasant breakfast at the Jekyll Club Restaurant.

Delicious food...

and coffee.

After breakfast, the family played croquet on the front lawn.

Nathaniel waited patiently for his turn.

Joseph was the first one to finish the course!

Autumn Faith enjoyed the beautiful flowers nearby,

and snuggling Mama while we watched the older Greens play.

Charles was a sweetie spectating during the game,

and then he decided to join in on the croquet fun!

Just before lunchtime, everyone changed into their swimsuits and headed out to the beach for some fishing and swimming. All of the action began when Daniel felt a big tug on his pole...

Yesterday it was alligators. Today it was sharks.

Yes, Daniel caught two rather nice-sized sharks near our swimming spot.

Autumn Faith was so excited to see the sea turtles at the Nature Center today.

We were happy to see the rain stop this afternoon just in time to enjoy a little fishing. However, we were all surprised to find...

this alligator right in our swimming spot where we have all been playing on the beach over the past few days.

Joseph ran to the house to find a container to trap him while we called the Nature Center. Daniel decided to let him go, but we're all a little nervous about swimming now... Notice the kids running away while Daniel and Caitlin are about to release him.

After our allilgator scare, Grace resumed her photo shoots on the beach, and

Anna Rose was delighted to search for sand dollars.

Everyone had a very hearty appetite this evening, perfect for our annual tradition of Sal's Pizzeria.

Yes, we ate every bit of 5 extra large (18 inch) pizzas.

This evening after bathtime, the little girls enjoyed watching Charles cooing and kissing his Mama. Sweet, precious baby boy...

Bicycling around Jekyll island is a Green family favorite.

The best part is taking breaks under the shade trees of the historic district.

And after a long day of cycling, Joseph grilled hot dogs for the family.

Today we enjoyed watching the boys demonstrate equipment in the exhibit hall at the Georgia Rural Water Conference.

And the best part is leaving with a bag of conference popcorn.

Silly girls!

Ready for the beach! Everyone is having a wonderful time at Jekyll Island. Daniel, Caitlin, and Charles are also along on our trip,

and Charles seems to love the water!

Boogie boarding,

studying hermit crabs,

and digging in the sand are a few of our favorite activites.

Our sweet Autumn Faith.

And everyone is always eager to venture back to the beach house for dinner after a long day of swimming.

Spring Fun!

Monday, May 5, 2014

It's Springtime, and we're watching lots of births on the farm!

Sweet Momma with baby.

It's always a pleasant surprise to see a new baby chick hatch!

The beautiful spring weather motivates Grace and the little ones to recreate spring scenery on faces!

Julieann and Rosie enjoyed watching Mommy and Daddy canoe all around the pond Sunday evening.

Saturday, May 3, 2014 - Congratulations Carolyn !!!!

Lots of good memories through the years!

Class Valedictorian!

Perfect weather for a graduation cookout.

After dinner, Daniel took some of the little ones for canoe rides while Caitlin and Joseph saddled the horses for both young...

and old.

We are very proud of Carolyn for excelling not only in academics throughout her homeschooling years, but also in developing Christian character and a love for serving others.

Friday, May 2, 2014 - Happy Birthday Julieann !!!!

Today we celebrated Julieann's 6th birthday, and she was in "cowgirl" mode all day! We are very thankful that the Lord has blessed our family with Julieann's presence over the last 6 years. She is an energetic, joyful child that keeps us all laughing. We pray the Lord will continue to bless her with good health and fine Christian values.
