Sweet and Lovable, a Delight to Everyone
Julieann, the eighth of the Green children, was born May 2, 2008. A delightful baby from the beginning, Julieann quickly stole the hearts of Mom, Dad, brothers and sisters. In late October 2008, our precious girl was diagnosed with infantile spasms, a rare form of epilepsy. As her illness unfolded, we began documenting her progress on this page so that friends and family would know specifically how to pray for her. We are so thankful to the Lord that her outcome so far is very good. For now, Julieann is seizure-free. We know that the seizures could return tomorrow, or in 10 years - so please continue to pray for her.

The garden is producing less and less with each passing day, but thankfully we have a lot of the goodness canned!

And these lazy, summer days are great for reflecting in the grass - with some flowers, of course.

After watching his aunts and uncles from afar, Charles decided he wanted to join in on the swinging fun!

Julieann lost her first tooth today ...

And a little later, she lost her second.

Joseph and Rosie enjoyed watching the rain from the front porch this evening.

Pretty as a rose...

After the rain, Benjamin assembled the rope swing he made for the Green children.

Autumn Faith was the first in line for a turn.

The Green children enjoyed swinging and

soaring through the air!

I watched Autumn Faith play sweetly for the longest time with a stick in the sand.

When I asked her to smile for the camera, I got this pose...

Then, after some time, she peeked at the camera...

All the ingredients for some heart, healthy muffins for Daddy.

Autumn Faith loves to watch (and help) Carolyn bake.

Delicious, muffins ready for enjoyment!

Summertime and watermelon...

With all the Green family picking blueberries,

we were able to fill many baskets,

and collect about 40 pounds of blueberries!

That means lots of blueberry jelly, blueberry cheesecake, blueberry pie, and handfuls of blueberries for Kenny's heart health!

Lots of purple hulls to shell!

Ready for the dinner pot!

Time for blanching and

chopping tomatoes for...

homemade salsa!

The jars are sealed, processed, and then ready...

for the "summer goodies shelf".

We've been busy preserving the fruits of our summer.

Some of the older Greens have been blanching and chopping the peaches the little Greens picked from our tree. The result is delicious peach preserves on warm, breakfast biscuits.

And the little Greens also love to help Daddy shell peas fresh from the garden.

Grace prepared her July 4th strawberries for our evening picnic.

Kenny's strength is returning and he was glad to be a part of the celebration.

Our traditional "Fireworks Table".

The little girls know Carolyn will always make sure they are settled at the table with their food and drinks.

A Fourth of July picnic is incomplete without an old fashioned glass bottle of coke, grape, orange, or strawberry soda. You can tell the decision was difficult for Grace!

Good food and fellowship!

Charles took a little nap in his stroller during dinner.

Then he was wide awake to enjoy the firework festivities.

What better way to end the celebration than with sparklers and watching the big kids help the younger ones.

We were very thankful for a fun and safe evening...

Time to pick the peaches!

Autumn Faith takes the job seriously...
