Sweet and Lovable, a Delight to Everyone
Julieann, the eighth of the Green children, was born May 2, 2008. A delightful baby from the beginning, Julieann quickly stole the hearts of Mom, Dad, brothers and sisters. In late October 2008, our precious girl was diagnosed with infantile spasms, a rare form of epilepsy. As her illness unfolded, we began documenting her progress on this page so that friends and family would know specifically how to pray for her. We are so thankful to the Lord that her outcome so far is very good. For now, Julieann is seizure-free. We know that the seizures could return tomorrow, or in 10 years - so please continue to pray for her.

In a hole in a tree there lived a boy.

In a hole in another tree there lived the boy's younger brother.

Now, these holes were not dirty, dark holes with cobwebs and snakes, for both boys assured their mother that the inside walls were sanded, every leaf was removed, and the floor thoroughly raked to gain her approval.

On the opposite side of one of the handcrafted doors was a window-covering made from the finest fabric borrowed from their sister's sewing supplies. This window-covering could be pulled back to allow ample sunlight to shine through their comfortable homes.

And so these dwellings provided an enchanted place where the boys and their siblings could meet in the pleasant spring afternoons to be merry in a thousand ways.

At the end of the day when the sun lingered on the horizon, the children bid their "holes-in-the-tree" a very fond farewell,

and reflected upon memories that would forever remain "precious"...

Monday, March 30, 2015 - HAPPY 15TH BIRTHDAY, JOSEPH!!!

We spent a very pleasant afternoon celebrating Joseph's birthday. Of course Charles was eager to spend time with his Uncle Joe.

I believe barefoot children are the happiest!

And the most enjoyment of birthday celebrations is always sitting around talking and watching the little ones play. It truly is the simple things in life which are worth more than gold...

What a grander thing still, to love!"

"Go back to your books,

and your armchair.

Plant your trees,

watch them grow.

If more people valued home above gold,

this world would be a merrier place."

Carolyn spent this past Saturday beginning her training as a tutor for Dyslexic students struggling to read . She is happy to offer her volunteer service for a Dyslexia Reading Program at a Christian school in Augusta. As an added benefit, Thomas gets to tag along with his sister as one of her students once a week using the exceptional curriculum materials. So proud of them both!

Tuesday, March 10, 2015 - HAPPY 12TH BIRTHDAY GRACE!!!

Today was a beautiful day to celebrate Grace's 12th birthday.

A picnic outside under the magnolia tree was a perfect birthday luncheon.

And everyone enjoyed Grace's birthday balloons,

especially this little girl.

I caught Benjamin just "being" in the swing out front,

and I loved watching Grace with her flower bouquets.

I believe everyone felt exactly like Rosie when the party was over...

The little girls enjoyed sitting in a sea of daffodils this afternoon,

and playing "see-saw" on half of a hay ring.
