October - November 2008

Sweet and Lovable, a Delight to Everyone Julieann, the eighth of the Green children, was born May 2, 2008. A delightful baby from the beginning, Julieann quickly stole the hearts of Mom, Dad, brothers and sisters. In late October 2008, our precious girl was diagnosed with infantile spasms, a rare form of epilepsy. As her illness unfolded, we began documenting her progress on this page so that friends and family would know specifically how to pray for her. We are so thankful to the Lord that her outcome so far is very good. For now, Julieann is seizure-free. We know that the seizures could return tomorrow, or in 10 years - so please continue to pray for her.

Kitchen in Christmas from Kenny Green on Vimeo.

Today was a day for baking Christmas cookies!

Everyone worked hard decorating gingerbread men and sugar cookies.

Lots of hard work paid off for the...

dessert bar after dinner.

And sharing cookies and playing Crokinole with friends was a special treat :)

For the past couple of weeks, Thomas and Nathaniel have been working with Daniel's old forge to make...

hand forged candle holders for Pioneer Days.

And the final result!  The little girls helped the boys make the beeswax candles for their holders :)

This past Saturday at Pioneer Days in Lincolnton, we set up our soap and lotion booth while the boys set up their displays.

Nathaniel's woodworking wall hooks.

Along with our soaps and lotions,

there were lots of goodies from the kitchen at Shakerock Farm.

One of the little girls snapped this picture of Kenny and me working in the booth.  We were thankful for wonderful weather and lots of friendly customers.

Caitlin brought Charles, James, and Miss MaryAnne to enjoy the day as well.

Sweet friends and family...

Saturday, November 3, 2018 - BARN DANCE

Saturday evening and all ready for the BARN DANCE!

Thomas and Nathaniel were a big help to Mama before the evening festivities.

Benjamin at the sound board while...

Joseph was up in the loft testing out the sound for the live Bluegrass Band, Mountain View.

Picture posing with friends before the dance.

Uncle Steve, Kaylee, and McKay were very intent on making guesses for the games.

5 of the final 12 pies before the Pie Judging Contest began.

Brother Dwayne, Brother Philip, and Carolyn had the honor of sampling...

all 12 pies!

After the judges' final tallies, the First Place ribbon was awarded to Grandpa for his Lemon Meringue Pie!

Nothing like a glass bottle coca cola!

Joseph did a fine job keeping up with the drink orders.

Lots of good Southern food and fellowship.

Time for a little "Footloose"...

And when the night became a little chilly, everyone gathered inside for coffee and apple cider.

Three little tuckered out girls after a long night of dancing :)
